Freedom means a lot of things too many people. I view freedom in many different ways. The first thought that comes to me when I think about the word freedom is unrestriction. I think of a high school senior on his or her way to college finally free from the rules of their parents. I also think that freedom means having the right to make a choice. Not everyone in this world thinks the same way, or does anything the same way. Not everyone in this world has the same privileges, life style and rights as I do. This is why I am forever thankful and blessed to live with opportunity and chances. True Freedom allows us to be able to do what we want without harming ourselves or infringing another's right to do the same. Freedom is self government. We constantly make choices in our lives. We have the choice to wear what clothes we want, how many days we work, what phone we decide to purchase, etc. We have the ability to choose almost everything in our life. This is freedom. When associating the word freedom in my daily life I think that I have freedom to write this blog without being swarmed with world officials tracking down my every movement. Freedom is being able to express yourself in more ways than one without being in fear of getting persecuted. Freedom is essentially being free. When I think of freedom I visualize the wind in your hair, driving in a hot red convertible with the top down and driving off to the unknown.
What is freedom to you?
